Activities

We offer a wide range of regular activities including:

  • weekly chair based exercise sessions
  • monthly musical/sing-along session by an entertainer who visits the home
  • monthly Church services in the home arranged by two different churches
  • “Pets as Therapy” dog visit
  • accessing the community to feed ducks, shopping, visit park etc
  • crafts
  • cooking
  • games/quizzes
  • helping with household tasks eg. folding laundry
  • gardening activities, raking the cut grass, weeding, planting
  • growing vegetables, watering plants etc.
  • hand manicures and massage
  • weekly visits by the hairdresser
  • family and friends are of course welcome to visit

Special events

We have Christmas and New Year parties for the residents.

Local school choirs visit to sing Christmas carols.

Residents are offered the opportunity to attend events organised by local organisations e.g., Christmas parties, pantomimes, garden fetes etc.

We also offer the opportunity to participate in outings organised by the home.

We organise special days such as 'VE day', Wimbledon tennis finals, Grand National, World Cup football etc.

Easter bonnet and basket of chocolate eggs

Each year the residents hold an Easter parade and a prize goes to the best bonnet.


Coffee mornings and more

Tea and cake

Aisling Lodge Care Home regularly hold coffee mornings, birthday and anniversary celebrations.

Trips out such as a recent trip to Sandringham, the much-loved country retreat of Her Majesty the Queen.
